3. Positions: One Associate Professor or Associate Professor (Lecturer)
4.
Job Responsibilities:
(1)
Teaching Japanese as a second language for international students;
(2)
Coordination of Japanese language program;
(3)
Consultations for international students, international exchanges, and
education relating to liberal arts;
(4)
Education and supervision for graduate students at Department of Social
and Human Sciences in School of Environment and Society;
(5)
Relevant administrative and management works relating to the above.
5.
Qualifications:
The applicant should satisfy the
following conditions:
(1)
Master degree holders; Ph.D. or doctoral degree holders are favorable.
(2)
Experience over 3 years of teaching Japanese as a second language, which
excludes that of personal/private teachings; that of course coordinate of
Japanese is favorable;
(3)
Ability of good command and performance of English. In addition to that
experience of study abroad or teaching Japanese oversea is favorable.
6.
Employment Date: As soon as possible after April
1, 2018
7. Term: Full-time@position, up-to-five-year contract (with a possible up-to-five-year@reappointment). Tenure can be obtained through evaluation. The retirement age is 65.

Salary: Annual salary system (Annual salary
will be paid according to National University Corporation Tokyo Institute of
Technology Regulations on Wage and Salary for Staff on the Annual Salary System.)

and teaching activities, which must clearly indicate types of students, types
of school, country names, teaching duration at each school, names of Japanese
textbook used;
(4) List of publications
(peer-reviewed papers, books, original teaching material, reviews, business
report, etc.)@Specify refereed (peer-reviewed) or
non-refereed papers, and single author or co-author books. Record/description
of qualifications and work experience should be included;
(5) Explanation of achievements
of Japanese language education (approximately one A4/letter size paper in
Japanese; including the estimated date when an applicant will be able to start
to work);
(6) Future plan of research and
education if employed at Tokyo Institute of Technology (approximately one
A4/letter size paper in Japanese);
(7) Prints or copies of no more
than two significant articles and books and their summary notes;
(8) Contact information of two
distinguished reference persons (name, affiliation, phone number, e-mail address).
